What a disappointment! Just received this stroller from Amazon.com and realized immediately upon trying to lift the box that something was very wrong. Was it ever. This Chicco Liteway stroller is advertised by Chicco to weigh ELEVEN pounds, and by Amazon.com to weigh TEN pounds. Guess what it actually weighs (I weighed it four times) — 19 POUNDS!!!!!!!!!!! — out of the box and assembled. I needed a lightweight stroller due to a back problem that I don’t want to make worse. This stroller weighs almost twice as much as both Amazon and Chicco say it does. So I have to return it. On the positive side: it’s attractive, nice large wheels, tall handles (I’m 5’7″). The legrest, however, has to be “cranked” down by depressing two buttons on either side EVERY time the stroller is opened, for toddler use. I would have worked with that, however, if the stroller was lightweight and easy to lift in and of the car. If you don’t mind having a majorly heavy stroller, then you might like this stroller. For my money, the whole point of an umbrella stroller is that it should be lightweight as well as compact.

this stroller did not work for us… used it only once and decided to return it. we got it for the main reason that it’s designed to fit an infant. I have a 2 month old and weighs about 15lbs…
— and he did not seem to be comfortable in the seat at all… he slides down when reclined and his crotch hits the bottom harness, upper straps were too high for him
— VERY heavy, not lightweight at all
— bulky
— canopy sucks, you have to undo it when closing the stroller. when the sun is shining in your face, you have to unzip the canopy to lower it towards the front
— my son’s feet already touches the bottom of the hideaway boot — no room for growth ( and he is only 2 months!)

I spent several months researching for a stroller that had everything I was looking for. With 6 kids I have always regretted the stroller purchases I have made in the past and didn’t want to make the same mistake again. I am super happy with my purchase of the Chicco Liteway in Fuego! I know we will be able to use for a few years with our smaller kids and if we were to have another baby I still won’t have to purchase another stroller!
Overall key points I will make:
*I was worried about complaints of the basket size, but honestly, it is big enough for a “day-tripper” diaper bag. I will say that if the seat is fully reclined, you can’t access the basket easily, but if the seat is reclined, my child is likely asleep and I don’t need to access it.
*I wasn’t sure of the Fuego color after a few reviews said it was more “orange” than “red”, but it looks red to me! No, it is not a deep red, but it is also the most gender neutral of the 3 colors offered in my opinion and will hide dirt marks better as well.
*yes, I have noticed that one side of the canopy will pop off when folded, but really not a big deal to me, and I am satisfied with the size of the canopy.
*It isn’t super light, but I can easily pick it up and carry with one hand by the handle. It is closer to 20 pounds than the weight listed on the sites description.
* The on hand fold is super easy, but in Florida we do wear flip-flops 80% of the year and you have to catch the release just right with your foot or it hurts your “toe-sies”.
* The handle height is comfortable enough for me at 5ft6in and my hubby at 6ft2in. I haven’t noticed kicking the back of the stroller when walking as some reviews mentioned. It turns on a dime and since the front wheels can lock, grass/gravel doesn’t slow us down!
*Our 1 yr old sits comfortable in it (as well as our 2 & 4 year olds!)- the seat is deep enough and seat depth can be adjusted by bringing up the leg/foot rest (which also houses a handy fabric boot intended for smaller babies but I have used the boot to cover my sons feet and legs when it unexpectedly rains.
*My absolute favorite thing is that it fits in the back of our SUV with room to spare! I was NEVER able to fit a stroller in the back without folding a seat down (& with 8 people in our family we need every seat!). It fits in the back easily and I can still fit a few bags/packages with no problems. On trips where we need all of the space in the back for luggage/coolers/etc I can slide it in on the floorboard behind the front seats and the 2nd row of seats and it still leaves leg room for our tallest child’s legs/feet.
*The cup holder is my only complaint – hanging off the side it worries me about it breaking off when I throw the stroller in the car and frankly, I tend to need more space to toss stuff with 6 kids (they’re always handing me something to hold onto). I ended up taking it off after a few days. I purchased the Buggy Buddy and it solved all my problems (one side of the Buggy Buddy has to be unhooked to fold the stroller, but it’s not an inconvenience to me.
I really liked the Peg Perego Si for the added features & lighter weight the Chicco didn’t have but for over $100 MORE, is just wasn’t worth it! I was able to purchase the Chicco for even less than our local stores on Amazon even with the extra purchase of the Buggy Buddy. Super find for the money!

I feel like I own a garage full of strollers already but I bought this one because I needed a relatively lightweight, umbrella stroller that fully reclines for an upcoming trip to Disney. So far, so good. It’s not as lightweight as my Maclaren, but it has nice features not available on a Maclaren. It’s really easy to fold and the recline feature is great – my son can sleep in it and take a long nap. I think this is a pretty decent stroller for the money.

i like it because our baby car seat can fit on the stroller. The reason I give 4-star because its weight is a little too heavy. The specification said it is 11 pounds but it is actually close to 20 pounds.
