Opinion on the QUINNY ZAPP Stroller?
I am looking into strollers and carseats for my baby, as I really want to get organised now.
Has anyone used the Quinny Zapp stroller? Is it good/bad? General opinions?
I am thinking of using the stroller frame with the Maxi Cosi carseat, so that transfers from the stroller to car will be a lot easier, especially with a sleeping baby…
Has anyone got any opinions on the Maxi Cosi carseat as well?
Thanks

I tried the Zapp, didn’t care for it much at all, and I’ve tried almost every stroller out there. Their weight limits bothered me too. I LOVE the Peg Perego strollers, although I strongly rejected them with my first child for some stupid reason.
Also the Maxi Cosi is a fancy name for “Safety 1st, the same company that makes the $40 walmart car seat bought the use of Maxi Cosi’s name in the U.S.”
Safety 1st likes to slap different names on lots of their products such as Eddie Bauer. Chicco carseats have the best reviews in my experience , as do Graco. I use Graco at first but instead of lugging around a heavy stroller (ok so my peg perego double only weighs 18lbs…) I carry my baby in a Moby Wrap and its great.
My best advice to new parents is to find a car seat you like, then pick a stroller later.
Top strollers I’ve tried/used(keep in mind Im 5’9):
BOB Revolution
Peg Perego Aria single and Aria 60/40 double(not as great for tall parents, but the single weighs less than 10lbs and the double weighs 18lbs!)
Peg Perego Pliko p3
Graco Quattro with rubber wheels (VERY heavy but durable, always my fallback)
Orbit (yes I know pricey, but push it and you’ll never want to let go of it)
Stokke Xplory (same as Orbit, and totally cool!)
i’coo
Bumbleride Queen B (some complain about poor sewing though)
Phil & Teds
Top infant seats:
Graco snugride, saferide, snugride 32 (I went with snugride because its the lightest and I switch to the Britax convertibles as soon as possible)
Chicco (by far the easiest and most narrow to install)
Peg Perego
Britax
I tried out the ZAPP too, and didn’t mind it, but really couldn’t justify spending the extra money when Target had it’s own knock-off version of the ZAPP, for about 200 dollars less.
It’s very light which was a bonus, but I don’t see it worth the extra money just because it has the letters Q-U-I-N-N-Y down the side.
It doesn’t come with a hood attached, which I thought was a real kick in the pants, and ones that do only have the tiniest of hoods anyway, I can’t beleive they sell hoods and shopping bag carriers separately.
It handled well, but as I said, the Target version was almost the exact same, and so much cheaper.
I remember pushing one in the store and not loving it, but i do not remember why. I glanced at a couple reviews and they complain about the weight, being hard to fold, and it does not recline. Does it have a sunshade?
I have a Joovy Kooper, and I really like it. It is a similar design and easy to use. I think I was already sold on it when I looked at the Zapp. Worth looking at if you like this style.
I suggest double jogging stroller. Most think that is is beneficial for twins but actually it can work well for a single baby. It’s easier for me to do the strolling since i can use both spaces; one for baby and the other for her things. It is always not comfortable to bring big bags and so much stuff.
I don’t think being a mom prohibit me to be stylish.
