Is there really a big difference in design between the 2? Is there any reason that I should purchase the newer 2009 model vs the 2008 model?

I read that it is illegal to buy a car seat in the US and to use it in Canada because the standards are different, we want to buy a travel system made by Safety 1st, the stroller is fine but the car seat isn’t approved, but really, what are the chances of being pulled over etc and getting a fine, isn’t the baby only in the infant carrier for maybe 6 months? It’s so dumb, Safety 1st makes car seats for canada so I don’t see what the big deal is. It’s a safe car seat and everything of course, we’d never get it if it wasn’t…. So what’s the big deal? If we don’t get pulled over then nobody would ever know… and if we did happen to get pulled over the worst is we’d have to buy a new one, and just say we didn’t know!?

I wont be using it tho until shes almost six months because the winters are harsh in canada and i’m gonna buy a baby sling
